Our Pastor
Alonzo G. Morris is Pastor of Paradise Missionary Baptist Church in Sacramento, California. Pastor Morris is well known as a dynamic and inspirational gospel preacher and teacher. His powerful bible-based sermons win lost and direct the saved in their Christian walk.
Pastor Morris’ deep knowledge and understanding of the word and coupled with his ability to provide practical and clear illustrations has earned him the reputation of an outstanding gospel preacher. He has done extensive research and conducted numerous classes in motivating Christians and Christian Leadership.
Pastor Morris is a graduate of Cosumnes River College, Pacific Coast Bible College and Sacramento Theological Seminary. He received his Associate of Arts Degree from Cosumnes River College in 1986. He received his Bachelor of Divinity Degree in 1996 from Pacific Coast Bible College. It was at Sacramento Theological Seminary in Sacramento that he obtained his Master of Divinity Degree in 2001.
Under his leadership and ministry Paradise has grown in membership from 200 to over 700 active members, with two services on Sunday at 7:45 and 11 a.m. Paradise is in the process of building a 37,500 feet sanctuary at their future location on Martin Luther King Boulevard in Sacramento.

Pastor Morris now serves as 2nd Vice-President of the Congress of Christian Education for the Northern District Baptist Association.
